A favorite game of many members is, indeed, golf. As
with any other sport, practice makes perfect. Both the driving range and
practice greens help keep techniques sharp. A short game practice area
allows Club members to improve bunker and chipping skills. Club Pros are
always happy to arrange organized play and offer friendly advice.
“Tennis anyone?” Hickory Hills has six hard courts, two
of which are lighted, and two clay courts. The upper
courts have an outdoor pavilion located alongside and the lower courts
utilize a patio area. The Pro Shop
Pavilion is staffed May through September by USTA professionals who
assist with private lessons, equipment
selection, special clinics, and organized play.
A short distance from the tennis courts are the pools.
Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, the children’s wading pool and
25-meter pool are staffed by Red Cross certified guards. Located
poolside are playground equipment and a snack bar with indoor and
outdoor seating. For the members’ convenience, the snack bar offers
children’s fare in addition to the regular menu.
